I just had a flare-up of ibs-c that caused a thrombosed hemhoroid. I'm trying not to push because there are no stitches and the hem is still there, all I had done so far is get the clot removed. My sister swears by prune juice, but her problems have never been as bad as mine. Is it safe! Can I become dependent on prune juice? I use heathers acacia powder, but I'm inconsistent which got me to this point.

Prune juice will act as a laxative, so the risk would be cramps, gas, diarrhea, etc. I think it would take a while to become dependent on prune juice - you would probably be healed long before then.

Gradually increase your acacia dosage if you're not stable - you might end up on several tablespoons per day, if you get stable at lower dose just stay there. Just make your increases slow and steady.
