Re-introducing tummy fiber after skipping

I have been slowly building up my tummy fiber intake over the past few weeks. I have increased about a 1/4 teaspoon a week and it's been really working for me. However, I got food poisoning or maybe a flare up this week and I basically skipped a full day with no fiber.

Is it ok to just start again where I left off, or should I start building from a lesser amount again?

Thanks!

missing a few days won't affect your dose tolerance. If you missed several weeks you'd want to drop down a bit and build back up.

So sorry about the food poisoning - that is wretched. The fiber will actually help get your gut calmed down and back on track in the aftermath of this.

Might also stick to plain soluble fiber foods for a few days, the "what to eat when you can't eat anything" info here http://www.helpforibs.com/diet/what_to_eat.asp
