Heather: Does your tummy fiber effect the absorption of vitamins and electrolytes and medications?

If so should the fiber not be taken with food. And also not taken with medications?

Hi - there should be no issue with any soluble fiber supplement and vitamins, minerals, etc.

Treat the fiber like food (there is fiber in all plant foods you eat). If you can take something with food, you can take it with fiber.

Medications can be an exception - always ask your doc about your specific medication and your specific fiber supplement. In general the empty stomach / take with food rules apply, but if your drug is an exception to that rule a pharmacist will know it.

Feel free to add the fiber right to foods - that's a super easy way to take it.
