Daughter - IBS - Weight Loss

Good morning! I was diagnosed with IBS years ago and now our daughter has it (not medically diagnosed, just know the symptoms). She is 16 and an avid runner. Last spring during track season she was severely dehydrated which brought everything to the surface, food allergies, constipation, etc. She was tested for celiac's and it came back negative. Her blood work is now showing malnutrition/anemia and low t3 thyroid function test due to nutrition issues. Medical doctors frustrated the situation, but finally using Acacia fiber, calcium/magnesium and watchful diet by mid-July the stomach pains were gone and her constipation under control. Along the way she lost a considerable amount of weight and must gain it back (as she is underweight)in order to go back into sports. Any suggestions?

Hello - please give your daughter a hug for me. It's much harder to deal with IBS as a child or teen than an adult, so let her know to just hang in there.
