I also use Heather's acacia powder and have for many many years. It's a Godsend for me. My question today, however, is if it's ok to use for non-IBS sufferers and if so, would they follow the same instructions for starting use as we would? (start with 1/2 level teaspoon twice a day and gradually work up to maximum of 5 TBS. a day) My pregnant daughter's Dr. told her to start metamucil or citracil and I told her not to use those nasty things and to use acacia powder. Then I got to wondering if it would be the same for her as it would be for me as I have IBS and she does not. Thank you for any info. It is likely that the majority of people who take soluble fiber supplements don't have IBS.
