Hello:
Following several days of taking Heathers' Acacia according to the suggested intake directions, I began noticing vaginal itching similar to yeast infection symptoms. Im wondering if it could be connected to the acacia consumption? Does it break down as a sugar would?

Hi - the acacia is pure soluble fiber. It has no sugar, and doesn't actually break down into anything (fiber is literally indigestible). If anything, the prebiotic effect should theoretically be helpful to keeping your natural body flora in good balance.

My best guess is it's just a coincidence of timing.

Hope you're feeling better soon.

Best,
Heather
