I tried Coconot Yoghurt once. It was delicious but gave me just as severe cramping and diarrhea as dairy yoghurt.
I lovve yoghurt almost as much as I love chocolate, so when I say I crave it like crazy you know I am telling the truth.
The thing is, why on earth does Coconut Yoghurt pose an issue for those with IBS??? It's completely smooth and not gritty at all. I thought it could be a great alternative for me but no way. Here in OZ we cannot get almond or rice milk yoghurts and the soy ones are so disgusting and have other stuff in them that upsets me.
Also I remember reading coconut water is ok for IBSers but just wanted to double check.

Coconut yogurt can be high on fat - 12%-16% by weight. Do you have problem with high fat foods? Coconut water on the other had contains no fat.

Not sure what brand of coconut yogurt you had, but, all the coconut yogurt I've seen contains inulin which is not good for IBS. For that reason alone, I avoid the yogurt.
Coconut milk remains a mystery to me as I tolerate it fine, but, as a general rule cannot tolerate high fat foods??
