I have read ibs likely to increase risk of miscarriage by 20%

My IBS pain an symptoms seem to increase. I feel very tender in my intestines. I look 6 monthes pregnant, when i suck in stomach you cant tell im pregnant.

Gas is VERY loud and wet sounding. Sounds like im having severe dirrreah. I havent been moving at all except basic things like going to the bathroom laundry and eating. Sometimes short walk maybe 1-2 times week.

Its too uncomfortable and i'm extremely bloated.

My doctor appointment is Thursday. Do you think I should try working?

Im worried soon i wont be able to go to the bathroom because i use my finger even for soft stool. I do filtered water enemas 1-2 times a week sometimes. I feel extremly bad.

I am really sick with ibs but the living situation is stressful I don't sleep enough and the ibs makes me more tired. If i work i may be more tired and ill.

I feel very heavy.I would get blisters on my feet having to work but the jobs available to get better pay are standing jobs. If I work not worth wastin time for little money.

The last paragraph is rather revealing : "However, obstetrician Virginia Beckett, of the Royal College of Obstetrics and Gynaecology, urged caution over the findings. IBS is often misdiagnosed and there can be other underlying problems which may contribute to miscarriage," she said. "Women should ensure they take folic acid throughout pregnancy as it reduces the risk of miscarriage. They should also stop smoking, lose weight and eat healthily."

The conclusion in the abstract of the original paper titled Increased Risk of Miscarriage and Ectopic Pregnancy Among Women With Irritable Bowel Syndrome stresses the importance of prenatal care for women with IBS.

Also, the increase was from the normal 6% miscarriages to 7.5% for an overall increase of 25% over the normal percentage.
