In an attempt to be IBS free or at least with fewer episodes I am diligent with only eating what is safe. Hard thing is I don't like a lot of food so I have more limitations than others. In addition to this I am trying to lose more weight due to years of medication/steriod gain. I have plateued and am trying to make sure that I am getting enough of all the essentials that I need and have found I get very little protein in my daily diet, even though I eat turkey and fish daily. So, I am looking into protein powder and am wondering if anyone else out there uses one. Is there a safe one for IBS suffers? Any suggestions?

There are rice and soy protein powders that are totally vegan and should be safe for IBS. Start at a low dose of them to get your gut adjusted.
If you're eating chicken and fish daily, you're probably getting more protein than you even need.

I would recommend rice or soy protein. Unfortunately I'm allergic to soy but I've heard good things about it.

I do fine with Brown Rice Protein powder, and I'm definitely on the more sensitive side of things.
