Hey everyone! So I'm in early pregnancy & am getting some pretty bad attacks. I'm wondering if the acid in my stomach isn't the cause behind these attacks. I'm not vomitting so i figure the acid has to go somewhere, right. Not sure how to prevent them either. I'm sticking to the "what to eat when you can't eat anything" part of the plan. Any ideas or suggestions? thanx so much in advance.

Hi Kiwii!!
I have no advice to offer, as we have no children. But CONGRATULATIONS!!! I hope your tum settles down and that the pregnancy goes smoothly!

and in particular look for posts by Han Solo. She was a moderator several years ago and had terrific advice for IBS in pregnancy.
There's general info about pregnancy and IBS here http://www.helpforibs.com/footer/pregnancy.asp
Congrats!

I had a lot of attacks, along with nausea/vomiting, for the first 19 weeks of my pregnancy. But then it all stopped and I was pretty good the rest of the way. But, my IBS came back strong the second month post birth. Good luck!!
