Hi guys
Anybody know how to get protein for ibs-c? Heather said that skinless turkey, chicken and so on is fine but seems to me that any protein constipates me. Anyone else experiencing this? Anybody know work arounds?

I had the same problem...digestive enzymes help...also i take probiotics from these guys which really helps with my regularity:

You should also take 1/2 teaspoon of magnesium oxide in the morning & at night...i guarantee you will notice a difference
Have u been tested for celiac by the way?

Does things like seafood, fish, beans, lentils & peanut butter which are high in protein give you problems too?

Well if digestive enzymes, probiotics and magnesium helped you, doesnt that suggest a cause for your ibs? Can you eat whatever proteins you want know so long as you take the supplements?

At the moment I am just starving on white rice and water. After that I will have 3 meals with a small piece of protein on each meal e.g. 1 small piece fat free turkey. It makes me feel good but then makes my stomach hard and takes a number of high straining bowel movements to pass. I know I need vegetables and protein. At the moment Im just trying to find what foods are less constipating, white rice seems to be the only one so far.
