I have IBS and am low on my protein levels. Can anyone tell me what are the best foods to eat with the most proteins that will agree with my stomach?

Thanks

well-cooked and pureed beans or lentils, soy, grains such as quinoa, oatmeal, or buckwheat, finely ground nuts.

If you're not a regular eater of beans and/or soy, start gradually with those foods and check here

For the animal proteins, make sure you have a soluble fiber foundation to the meal. For the nuts, watch the quantity as the fat content is high, and again have with a soluble fiber foundation.

Hi - in general, this might cause problems with IBS, as protein (animal protein, at least) can be constipating if it's a main component of your diet.

Protein should generally be a lesser component than complex carbs, which should be your major component (that's for IBS and also just general good health).

Do you have a protein deficiency?

My protein level is lower than it should be, but I don't know about a deficiency
