Is bison safe to eat?

I know bison is red meat, but apparently it has less fat than skinless light meat chicken! But is it safe for IBSers to eat?

Thank you so much for your reply. I've been off red meat for years now since discovering your diet. But I was curious about bison since I saw the article saying it was low in fat.

Thank you so much for clarifying that bison is not safe. I will stick to seafood and skinless white poultry meat.
