They make me go-go-go... I have to have a good amount of SF with them for them not to bother me.

I would say to try a few and see what happens. By "a few," I mean less than a 1/4 cup. Try 4-6 berries to start, and definitely with a good SFS base.

I can handle them now but that was not always the case; the seeds bothered me. Same with strawberries.

Most days I have a smoothie made from banana, strawberries, blueberries and soy milk + 1 TBSP acacia fiber. They don't seem to bother me in that combination. I don't actually like them alone, so I've never tested the theory, though

Blueberries are not a Soluble Fiber but neither are they a Trigger Food. Rather they're Insoluble Fiber which means you shouldn't eat them alone or on an empty stomach. Instead eat them with Soluble Fiber. So in IBS-safe muffins, on an SF cereal, in a smoothie like Bel (yum).

Here's an old post the gives a simple test for any food you're thinking about eating: web page

I would add that whenever you try a new Insoluble Fiber food, it's safest to start with a small amount - just a few blueberries in a bowl of cereal or a smoothie, for example - and see how you do. And remember that IF foods are usually better tolerated if they're chopped, cooked, and/or pureed - whirling blueberries in a blender, for example.

HTH. I love blueberries and often have IBS-safe blueberry pancakes for Sunday breakfast.

Blueberries contain IF in the seeds and skins which can be a trigger. I am IBS-D and I cannot eat them at all even with a good soluble fiber base.

Berries are an individual thing so you will likely have to try them - a small amount at a time - in order to see how they are for you.

Good luck

Cook them, puree them, add to soluble fiber, etc. Follow the insoluble fiber rule here. -nt- new
