Hi RUCHIE; I had an ulcer sime years ago and My doctor put me on a diet and the weight came off and my ulcer cleared up. I was skeptical as to if it would work or not, but diet really does play a key role in these things.

you cutie pie you!

This is actually from the First Year IBS, but I put it in the IBS Glossary on the site because it's a good reference for folks Questions and checklist for your doctor

BTW, I'd say that your expectations for your doc to simply listen to your questions and take the time to answer them is the LEAST you should expect.

I've only read your book twice and gone back to use it as a reference a zillion times...and you had to go and post this for me?! You're just so WONDERFUL! Thank you so much Heather!

Hope you're doing great and that you had the holiday of a Queen...

Love,
Ruchie

Ruchie, how are you doing? I haven't seen you on the boards lately, and I'm wondering if you're okay. It's been over a week now since your diagnosis. I know Michael was helping -- is that continuing?

Please let us hear from you.

Bev

Thank you SO MUCH for having me in your thoughts.....you're SO WONDERFUL!

I haven't ben back to the doc...he never called with my bloodwork...so I'm quite annoyed!

It seems like my reflux is still there...so I'm gonna continue with the aloe vera juice and cabbage juice until it's gone OR I see the doc and he tells me it's better/worse.

I've been eating to heal the ulcer AND get rid of yeast infection. This means a no-sugar (except minimal fruit...not even honey!) diet, lotsa rice, no bread/yeast, lotsa beans and veggies diet. (No tomatoes though...my fav!) It also means lotsa rest and lotsa RELAXING!

I'm actually enjoying all the restrictions...I just feel so HEALTHY! I feel so ALIVE and full of life...like my old self again. The tapes are PHENOMENAL...the plants are my oxygen...and last night my hubby and I went to an Asian store and bought 2 tea cups...one for each!

The things that have helped me through this are my hobbies and special little things I've "discovered" on my own....the plants, cross-stitch, my love of Asian culture, taking an active role in my health, and smiling a TON! And, of course, my hubby and the support of this board...and my biggest fan Bev! Btw, my hubby and I REALLY don't have money to spend...but I bought these things anyway. If I'm not happy and not feeling well......how can I work or take of my hubby...or myself?! To me, it was worth it...I'm worth it! (I'm not used to saying things like that...but I'm trying!)

Thanks for asking Bev...and for caring so much....you're such a special person!!!!! I wish you all the health and happiness in the world!

Love,
Ruchie
