Would the fiber in the acacia powder be considered safe if my GI wants me on a low residue/low fiber diet? I have to be on Colace for a month; not for contipation, but just to make sure my stool stays soft. I ws just wondering if I should continue w/the acacia or stop.
Thanks.

I'd ask your doc specifically if you can have soluble fiber new

or if the low residue diet is just to exclude insoluble fiber.

Thanks, Heather. He said no fruits or veggies for about a month. I understood that to mean insoluble fiber.
