My daughter has IBS-D. She also has chillblains, a circulation issue. Lately her IBS-D has been a bit worse and her joint pain is worse. We have seen a rheumatoid. Nothing is going on with joints, medically. She just got over a parasite in her gut. I'm trying to figure out any connections. Any ideas?

I find a relationship between the severity of my IBS pain and the amount of muscle/joint pain that I experience. In fact, when I am stable and the pain level is low my use of Tylenol for muscle/joint pain drops significantly.

I have crohns and because I have severe joint pain-arthritis. Because crohns is an auto-immune disease (and so is arthritis) lots of people who get crohns get arthritis. I have it in most of my body. The good news is that most of the meds used for crohns is also used for treating arthritis. Hope this helps. I would get your daughter tested for IBD. (I'm not sure of the symptoms of UC.)
