Thanks for answering, evie! Yes, that is the setting I'm hoping to teach in. You're right, if I'm lucky I'll end up with a teacher's aide, and that would make things a lot easier! Most classrooms do have an aide for at least part of the day, especially inclusion classes. And hopefully once I get into the swing of teaching it won't be as stressful and won't bother my IBS as much! I just have to go with the flow.

I can imagine working in a hospital setting would be very stressful! I'm glad you're able to do it. I guess anything is possible when we put our minds to it, even with the annoyance of having to deal with IBS!

Here's my advice - if you're worried about an oncoming attack, then it's sure to happen, 'cause your worry urges it on, but if you don't, then at least you stand a chance! So, right on - don't worry. You'll have a great time teaching. And the perk? Free juice and fruit! That was my saving grace sometimes at the hospital.

it can trigger cramps and diarrhea in some folks. Don't want you to swing from one extreme to the other.

first thing in the a.m., at least 2 mugs of it, on an empty tummy. chai, ginger, fennel, chamomile, or peppermint are all good choices in the GI sense... mazel!
