I know beef is harder to digest but what about beef broth? I want to make a stir fry for my family and usually use beef. If I don't actually eat the beef can I put it in there for me? I would make it without but the beef adds such a nice flavour (and my family needs the protein.) Thanks.

I use beef broth all the time. Doesn't bother me. I also use the chicken broth. Just try and buy the low fat one. Enjoy!

I've wondered the same thing before, but always use FF chicken broth just to be safe. Hopefully Heather will let us know the deal with beef broth.

I would say yes - provided it's a low fat or fat free variety. That way you get the flavour without the high fat which is the trigger in beef. I use the oxo cubes all the time. You can also try veggie broth for a different flavour than chicken.

Hi - my instinctive answer to this is no - just avoid anything and everything beef, period. But if the broth is fat free, you might be okay. If you can use fat free chicken or veggie broth I think that's a better way to go.
Just fyi, there is no advantage to giving your family beef for protein. They'll be much healthier overall sticking to poultry, fish, and egg whites for animal proteins, or beans/legumes and soy for vegetable proteins.
