I'm taking 2 1000 mg a day. Seems to be working along with flaxseed meal and fruits and vegetables. You can take all you want. From internet: Triphala, as it is called, is the most popular Ayurvedic herbal formula of India, since it is an effective laxative which also supports the body's strength. The constitution of vegetarian Hindus cannot tolerate harsh laxatives anymore than vegetarians in other countries. Because of its high nutritional value, Triphala uniquely cleanses and detoxifies at the deepest organic levels without depleting the body's reserves. This makes it one of the most valuable herbal preparations in the world. It tones the bowel. Bette

I think you miss understood... she is telling you to do a search on THIS site (on THESE boards) so you can see where this very same topic has been asked about and talked about before. For example: you might be asking a question that you are not aware was just talked about in depth 2 weeks ago. If those that were involved in that discussion read YOUR question, they may not answer you because it has already been talked about. I for one do that or refer them to the thread where it was already talked about.

She was trying to help you by telling you to do a search.

Read the first paragraph on this post by Heather: web page

The searches are advice from individuals, not the internet. Just like the responses you are asking for here.

I think you should be nicer to people. Maybe you're IBS would calm down a bit. Don't worry...I won't be trying to help you anymore.

Actually, you can search both this site and the message boards themselves... new

and this is a really great starting point for most questions. Many topics come up over and over again, and you might get more from a post a few weeks ago, that had dozens of answers, than you would from posting the same question again today. I believe triphala has come up in the past, though I can't remember how many posts there are about it.
