If it is, is corn syrup bad as well? I know I had to eliminate pepsi and coke from my diet but do I also have to eliminate minute maid lemonade also?

Thanks, JC

Hi - it's the fructose in high fructose corn syrup that's problematic. Fructose can cause gas, bloating, cramps, and diarrhea. Dark corn syrup doesn't usually contain high fructose corn syrup, and is thus safe for cooking.

About the soda pop - it's not just the fructose that's problematic, but also the carbonation, caffeine, artificial sweeteners, and artificial colors/flavors.
