At the grocery store they list nutrition content and it said that yams have 0gr of fiber but that baking potatoes have 2gr.
Is there a difference bet. yams and sweet potatoes? I don't ever see sweet potatoes? I'm confused! I like to eat yams as my source of soluble fiber!

Hi - True yams are rarely available in the US. What's labeled yams is just a variety of sweet potatoes. You can consider the two interchangeable for recipes, and they all have a good amount of soluble fiber. All root veggies do.

What are the other root veggies out there? Are they parsnips and rutabaga...or are there more?

Thanks Heather!

Hi - Yep, parsnips and rutabagas, potatoes and sweet potatoes, beets, celery root, turnips, carrots. They're especially good roasted - makes 'em a little sweet.
