Okay, I am really a UC with D all time person but this board has more chatty people like me on it. So here is my question. Has any one noticed more D. when they start taking Acacia. I was taking Metamucil but after reading on here that causes gas, I switched to benefiber, ( my body did not like that either ) So now I am trying the Acacia.
Sometimes I think it is the gas that causes the D. Is that possible?

I don't know about gas causing D- I get gas when I am C more then when I'm D.. but I get it all the time.. acacia didn't up my D that I noticed... but your poops may be soft with it even if they are stable.. the idea is soft and fluffy to fill the colon.. and come out evenly.. which they do...

Did you start out at a low dose? If you start too high, it could cause some problems.

was taking another SFS so I started at 2 teaspoons 3xs per day did that Thursday & Friday and yesterday and today I have taken 1 tablespoon when I woke up and then one before lunch.
It seems that the worse the gas is ( you know when you hear & feel stuff moving inside your tummy ) the worse the D is. It has been that way before the Acacia

but this is a really high dose to start. Did you calculate your old supplement dose in grams, and then the equivalent of Acacia in grams? It's more concentrated than most SFS out there. If I were you, I'd drop my dose for several days and then increase at a more gradual pace.
