Is Hummus from a Greek restaurant okay. I noticed "hummus" in Heather's book. Is it okay to eat with pita even though it is made with oil which is what hummus is made out of.

I have eaten it with no problems, but it might vary from restaurant to restaurant. It's definitely a better pick than some of the other things on a Greek menu.

Be careful - restaurant versions will have a lot more fat than a homemade version. Ask the waiter that they leave off any extra oil if possible, and eat a lot of the pita bread.
