I'm not sure where to post this question: Prebiotics: acacia--it's great! We all know about that. Probiotics: does anyone know about lactobacillus GG? It is supposed to be the best form of probiotic? I have found Culturelle in the US, and this has lactobacillus GG. There is also something called VSL#3, which is supposed to be even better. Has anyone had experience with any of these? Is there information on the Research site? I couldn't find it.

I second all questions from Tess! I wish I had the time to do the research myself (I'm in the middle of a job change at work) -- I'd post an article myself! Heather, please consider writing about this (again -- if necessary).

Hi - everything I've ever seen about probiotics and IBS is in the Research Libary, in the probiotics section. There's not much...
There are different strains of probiotics, some may be more helpful than others, but I really don't know since the literature on this is so scarce.
A prebiotic is just something that encourages the growth of probiotics (all strains) in your gut.
