section of the site. Target for daily dietary fiber is 25-35 grams MINIMUM, of which 1/3 should be soluble. Your SFS would count towards this daily amount, though it's not a bad idea to NOT count it, as most people get far too little fiber and you want to aim for as much as possible (within reason, of course, and also within the limits of what your IBS will allow). Slow and gradual are always good things with fiber and IBS.

IBS-A for 20 years with terrible bloating and gas. On the diet since April 2004. Remember this from Heather's information pages:
"You absolutely must eat insoluble fiber foods, and as much as safely possible, but within the IBS dietary guidelines. Treat insoluble fiber foods with suitable caution, and you'll be able to enjoy a wide variety of them, in very healthy quantities, without problem." Please eat IF foods!

When there is no soluble fiber foods at parties and everything contains dairy. My life story. I have a large family, therefore, I have so many Weddings and Christenings and parties to go to all the time. It seems like one a month, lately.

I would like to see information that links the over production of bile after gallbladder removal, and how it affects IBS. I suffered for 14 years before anyone ever realized that I produced way to much bile, which in turn, totally disrupted my evacuation response time (to put it nicely)....Amazing how much your news letter has helped me!
