I saw this in the web and was wondering if we use smart balance would that still be to much fat?
Puppy Chow (Muddy Buddies) 1 cup safe chocolate chips 1/3 cup Smartbalance 6 cups Crispix or Chex cereal 1 cup confectioner's sugar
Microwave the chocolate chips until melted and smooth. Stir in the butter until smooth. Add the cereal then toss to thoroughly coat. Place the confectioner's sugar in a large Ziploc bag. Transfer the cereal mixture into the Ziploc bag and shake until thoroughly coated. Pour the mixture onto a baking sheet to cool completely. Store in an airtight container or Ziploc bag. It is a lot of fat from the chocolate chips, plus the butter. I'm not sure how to safely modify this recipe without ruining it.

I did the fat math on this and the percent of calories from fat is high but lower than, say, soy ice cream. I got my numbers from various sources so take with a grain of salt.
1 cup Ghirardelii Semi-Sweet Chocolate Chips: 805 calories, 460 CFF 1/2 cup SunButter Creamy: 533 calories, 373 CFF 6 cups Rice Chex: 618 calories, 24 CFF 1 cup confectioner's sugar: 480 calories, 0 CFF
I get 2436 calories, 857 from fat, or 35% of calories from fat.
If you figure this will make about 7 cups, then 1/2 cup of it will have 174 calories, 61 from fat.
For comparison purposes, 1/2 cup of Tofutti Chocolate Supreme Soy Ice Cream has 180 calores, 99 from fat, or 55% of calories from fat.
So I could eat Puppy Chow after a low-fat, high soluble fiber meal. My problem is that there's no way I'd stop with a reasonable amount. I'd probably eat the whole recipe and that would just about kill me.
BTW, I had never heard of SunButter - looks interesting.
