I found this on the web and made some changes is the amount of butter safe? Beef and Noodle Skillet
1/4 cup safe butter 3/4 cup water 1/4 cup flour 1 cup soy milk 1 lb ground turkey or chicken beef, browned 1 box noodles, any shape desired, cooked 1 can peas( omit if prolbem)
Place the margarine and water in a large pot. Heat over medium-high, whisking constantly, until the margarine is melted. Whisk in the flour until fully incorporated. Slowly whisk in the soy milk. Continue to whisk and cook until thickened. Stir in the ground beef, noodles and peas to fully coat them in the sauce then heat through.

If this recipe serves at least 4, then the 1/4 cup should be fine (that would average out to 1 tablespoon soy butter per serving).
I'm guessing you could probably drop this recipe to 3 TBSP soy butter total and not notice any change in the taste.
Best, H

This sounds good but do you think it would be OK to use olive oil or canola oil instead of the soy butter? I'm not able to eat the soy butter even a little bit because it doesn't agree with me. Thanks!

Not yet. Really want to though. Haven't had much time because I started a new job working in a greenhouse. I haven't had much time to try anything new. I think I'm going to put it on my grocery list for next week. Have you tried it yet?

I made this last night and it was good and easy to make. There wasn't a whole lot of flavor to it so I think the next time I make it I'm going to saute some garlic and onion to put in it for some flavor. The other problem I had was the Smart Balance light with flax has given me some trouble. I don't know why I just can't handle it for some reason. Next time I make it I'm going to use olive oil instead. I don't think it should make a difference. I recommend giving this a try when you have time!
