Lemon pie filling?

Does anyone know of a safe lemon pie filling or maybe ai could make one? thanks Emmasmom ibs-c gas

Not entirely sure how this would work, but you might be able to use the Lemon Bar filling here http://www.helpforibs.com/news/newsletter/10/040610.html#fooddiet
Might also post a recipe for traditional lemon pie and we'll help you modify it. The bigger issue with pie is the crust - hard to make that low fat, unless you use a graham cracker crust instead of pastry.

Thanks I'm actually not making a pie I need the filling for a cake recipe I saw. I will posted it when I get a chance. Thanks I think this might work! Emmasmom ibs-c

then the lemon bar filling should be great!
If you want the cake extra moist, you can brush on a syrup to the layers before you add the filling. You can make a simple syrup by boiling equal parts water and plain white sugar, and flavor it with things like lemon zest or fresh herbs (peppermint or lemonbalm or even lemongrass or lavender), or even a little lemon liqueur.
Let the syrup soak into the cake, then add your filling to the layers. Yum!
