Hello - I just picked up some shrimp cocktail for tonight and it's as hard as a rock. I have about 2 hours to safely defrost it. I have heard that defrosting under cold water is okay? Anyone have any ideas? I'm just so excited that shrimp cocktail is on the "safe" list.

Thanks,
Debby

Hi - Just put the shrimp in a big colander and under the cold water faucet. Let the water run and every minute or so break up the block and mix the shrimp around. They'll thaw very quickly - in less than 5-10 minutes.
