applebutter-any good recipes out there??

I love applebutter and usually buy it in a jar. Does anyone have a good recipe because I would love to make some?! Leah

Here's a recipe I posted before: Slow Cooker Apple Butter. I've made it 2x so far and everyone that I gave some to liked it.

You may want to look at the spoonfoods.com web site. I'm not sure if they have recipes posted there but I love their applebutters. They are located in Charlevoix, MI and I know when I go to the store they have recipes there. They also have pumpkin butter which is great too. Good Luck

Here a recipe for your applebutter to go in..
Apple Butter Spice Cake
2 1/4 cup sifted flour
1 Tsp baking soda
1 Tsp Baking powder
1/2 tsp salt
1 cup sugar
1/2 cup butter substitute(rice butter, soy butter)
1/2 cup egg substitute(2 eggs)
3/4 cup apple butter
1 cup sour cream substitute (tofutti)
Topping and filling
1/2 cup brown sugar
1 tsp cinnamon
1/2 tsp nutmeg
1/2 cup nuts optional
garnish whip topping (optional)
For The Cake:
Spray and lightly flour pan 13x9x2inch. sift flour with powder,soda,and salt. Gradually add sugar to butter in a large mixing bowl,cream at high speed until light and fluffy. At med. speed add eggs beating well after each addition.Blend apple butter and vanilla extract. at low speed add sifted dry ingredients alternating with sour cream, beginning and ending with dry ingredients. Blend well after each addition.
For the Topping:
Combine topping ingredients except optional if desired.
Pour half of cake batter into pan. Sprinkle with half topping mixture over batter. Spoon remaining batter into pan, spread evenly. Sprinkle with remaining brown sugar mixture. Bake at 350 degrees for 40-45 minutes until cake springs bake when lightly touched in center.
Serve warm or cold top with whip topping (optional)
serves 12
