Saw a good sounding stirfry recipe but the only veggie used was a 16 oz bag of peapods. Need suggestions of what veggies to replace, if necessary.
If I make & it turns out good, w/post it. That is.....if someone tells me how to post it on the Recipe Exchange. Such a computer novice!!!!!!!!

Hi - peapods are fine if they're cooked till very tender, and in a soluble fiber base. So serve the stir fry over rice and you should be just fine!
To post the recipe, just type it into a regular post like you've been doing. Not so tough, eh?

Just wondering what other chinese veggies you can use in stirfries, etc. Love water chestnuts, bean sprouts (are they soy?), baby corn ok?, etc. I like those flat things .......but can't THINK of the NAME of them now!!!!! LOL...but they come in cans like waterchestnuts. Don't like cabbage/bok choy.....gassy!
Stirfry turned out pretty good altho fresh ginger would have made it tastier & a bit more sugar.
I see the soy sauce you get fr. Chinese restaurants is not actually made from soy!!!!! Nor was the one I got fr. the supermarket. Kikoman is!!!
Have you ever heard of Husan ?sp)sauce. That may be Hosein sause? It's a dark sauce and REALLY adds taste to any stirfry recipe.
Yes....figured that was how to post recipe right after I finished the post. LOL
Want to find time to post some recipes and w/prob. post the stirfry.
Thanks,
Marnie
