I accidentally bought the soft tofu, but the recipe calls for firm tofu. Is the pie gonna be runny or messed up if I use the soft tofu? I'm new to the tofu scene.
thanks for any help!

Hmmm - you could try draining the tofu for a day or two in the fridge - that might help. But the soft tofu should work - the pie shouldn't be runny, but it will have a softer texture.

I placed the soft tofu between paper towels and placed a bowl of fruit on top to put a little pressure on the tofu. After about 30 minutes, it had drained so much that I had to put a kitchen towel under the tofu, too. I only had to drain it for a couple of hours.
It worked great in the pie. The graham cracker crust was very crumbly (maybe I didn't mix it enough with the canola oil?), but the pie was absolutely delicious.
My dh & 11-yr-old son loved it. Dh couldn't believe it had tofu in it. I'm planning to make this for Thanksgiving.
