Hello! I have a question about the use of fiber. I read that it will help constipation and diarrhea. I have IBS-D and have tried the fiber recommendations, increasing at the levels suggested. It only seemed to increase my frequency and volume. It was not actual diarrhea, I guess, but I am not sure it helped all that much. Suggestions? I still have some of the product left and would like to know how to proceed. I am currently not taking any fiber.

Hi - make sure this was 100% soluble fiber, not insoluble, and no inulin, FOS, GOS, no other ingredients, sweeteners, flavors, etc.
Did you start at about 2 grams per day total, divided into two daily doses, and then increase gradually? Diarrhea should resolve as you gradually work up to 10-15 grams per day, total. It's important to have accurate doses, to keep it in your gut 24/7, and to start at a low dose and then increase gradually, continuing to gradually increase until you are stable.
Please let me know.
