Hi all, I've been posting messages on the IBS Diet Board with little if no response except from Linz. I am confused and want to ask questions? Is this the place? I'm not suicidal and I am not on medication, I'm just a newbie trying to figure this out.

Hey Susan! Sorry you feel that way! I've honestly never seen you post before...  Maybe I'm just not very observant. But you can post questions up here if you want, but if they're about the IBS diet or anything related to IBS, you'll probably want to try posting it up on the Eating For IBS board, that way you'll probably get a better response. And is there any way you can post up a picture? It's always easier to remember someone when you see their face everywhere! Here's the link to how to post your picture: How to post a picture

We get so many posts these days that some get missed. And some people just spend most of their online time in here!

Hi Susan and welcome. Speaking for myself - I don't check the board everyday, so I do miss alot of posts. Also I have never been comfortable giving out advice on IBS. I'm sure there alot of other people who are like me, so I'm sorry if seems we are ignoring you.
Check the livingroom everyday and post, because this is where you really get to know people and we can get to know you better

I was actually just looking at your information page! But all it says is that you're from Vermont. All I know about Vermont is Maple Syrup and trees! Care to fill me in a bit more on where you live, what you do....

Hi Susan, my fav place is the living room, there is just a lot of fun here, and sometimes broken hearts. We laugh and share our lives, and we do our darndest to help mend broken hearts. We also love our Fibro friends, they have a hard time but keep on going, I love to support them.
The diet board, recipe boards great places to go when you are hurting and need help with eating different foods and trying new recipes. Welcome girl, gayla

Sorry you got overlooked. Maybe your post on the diet board didn't pertain to any problem I was having because I don't recall it.  Maybe your subject line wasn't specific enough??? Don't know. But don't give up. 
Anyway, happy to have any comment or joke or whatever you want to post. The Living Room is a lot of fun. Even when you are feeling low or in pain someone manages to make you laugh or give you info that will help. Sometimes I don't get any response to a post either, but that doesn't stop me from posting again.

Susan, you just dive in. We're all crazy, and not alert to each newbie. There are LOTS! I used to try to keep up, but I just couldn't after awhile, there are just too many!
Also, I'm like so many others; if I see a post that I can't answer -- I have no knowledge about the issue, whatever -- or if others have answered it already, I move on to another post. That way, every post gets answered by at least one of us.

Actually, she is a Nurse Practioner. When I went in for my physical in May and we discussed the fact that the bathroom had been my best friend, she suggested that it was IBS (which I suspected from my own research). Then when she came back with my allergy script, she said one of the other doctors had suggested this site and Heather's books. Not bad for little old Vt, hey? I'm sure they must have been put on to it by another patient or maybe one of the GI docs in the area - it's a large network affiliated with a teaching hospital, so who knows how the word spreads.

Nugget, Just browsing the board and saw you have golden's. Aren't they the best! I had a female and I have a male who's 13  His days are numbered unfortunately. Getting old, ya know! The breed is just wonderful. My mom just got a Bernese Mountain Dog. Similiar to Golden. Very beautiful..............very expensive!

Hi Littleone24! I'm LittleLis. I'm new to the boards too. I suppose we have a lot in common? I'm 5ft tall and 90lbs soaking wet. Been that all my life (with the exception of 30lbs heavier being pregnant twice!)Lost all the weight though. Come to the conclusion I will be this way all my life. How bout you? Do you have trouble gaining weight? Gee do you think it could be the IBS? Some people don't loose weight with IBS. I simply only weigh what I do cause I CAN'T EAT MOST THINGS! Oh well, I'm glad this support group is here. It's amazing how many people from all over the world post here. I love it. Can see it may become an addiction! Take care.

I was browsing (snooping) around the boards this morning and saw your post. Welcome to the boards. I love goldens, too. I have a male that is 12 yrs old. He is a great dog and in pretty good health. I know how you feel, though, because everyday I think about his days being numbered, too.
My son & his wife just got a golden lab puppy. He's a handful.

I'd get another golden puppy in a second! I know they are alot of work but soooooooo worth it in the end. I've never really gone through the loss of a dog yet. My female golden lived with my mom after I moved out of the house so she died at my moms and I wasn't there. I'm not looking forward to loosing my current one "Reilly". It's gonna be hard! He can never be replaced, however, I HAVE to have another dog.
