I have been taking Paxil for a few weeks. At first I started out with 12mg a day and then 25mg a day. The past week I was upped to 37 & 1/2 mg a day and I had D every day - my doctor seems to think it's not the medication but just a stomach bug - but I'm not too sure! Has anyone else taken Paxil or have any advice? Thank you

good morning: I have been on paxil for over a year now amd mostly take just 20 mg. It is mostly an antidepressamt , I think, anmd because I only take it for ibs. a higher dosage wouldn't make any difference for me.Your doctor should know what is best for you. Anyway, before I startedon paxil, I was feeling really bad, like I had a hole in my stomach that I couldn't fill, and it would take 2-3 days to feel better. After paxil, I was feeling much better and no more hole. Hope you feel better soon.

Hi - Do a "search" for paxil, with a time frame of "all posts" and you'll find past threads on this. There have been a lot of posts with good info.

Best,
Heather
