yes, same thing happened to me along with a touch of heartburn! im very new to the IBS scene... but my symptoms include impersonating the goodyear blimp and lots of indigestion. Currently on Day 3 of "what to eat when you can't eat anything" section. Maybe after a few good days it wont happen?

Fennel tea takes away all of that for me. I works instantly, when all else fails I drink fennel tea. It might be something else. Do you eat a lot of dairy? I know that does it to me. I try to keep a record of all the things I eat and this seems to help. Its basically trial and error. Good luck.

I burp a lot. It used to be after taking gas-x or when I am nervous. They are very little quiet burps and feel like they actually help my tummy but sometimes my esophagus gets sort of tired. I have the little burps after the tea but since I have them other times too I am not sure if that really means anything. They are always temporary though.

"You absolutely must eat insoluble fiber foods, and as much as safely possible, but within the IBS dietary guidelines. Treat insoluble fiber foods with suitable caution, and you'll be able to enjoy a wide variety of them, in very healthy quantities, without problem." Please eat IF foods!
