It wasn't IBS either (it was years before). It just basically caused me to throw up within minutes after drinking it. Happened at a friend's house when I was six, and I was so embarrassed. Never drank the stuff again!

But I like it, I am just not sure if I should be drinking it. It is non carbonated, caffeine free. Low percentage of juice, mostly just sugar water. It is a nice change from tea and water, once in awhile in the summer, since I can't drink pop.

I love Hawaiian Punch and always have since I was a kid - it was a big treat when I was growing up. I still remember the four of us standing around the picnic table at an amusement park while my dad pulled out his pocket knive with the bottle opener on it and he punched the two holes in the can. Yum!! Today I don't buy it at all but when I want that fruity flavor I drink a red juicy juice or a Rose's Loganberry. The only thing that made me sick as a kid was oatmeal and grape juice. I can have them seperatly but not at the same meal.
If your tummy can tolerate enjoy!

I can't do Hawaiian Punch - too strong for me - unless it's mixed with vodka, haha. But I do drink Kool-Aid, which I guess is along the same theory. I wouldn't drink that and nothing else, but it is a nice switch now and then, and it doesn't seem to bother me.

Heather, I was the same way... except it took longer to bother me. I would drink it almost every day in my lunch, and then about once a month I would vomit, like clockwork. I know this sounds gross, but it was always bright red... and my mom finally made the connection. I stopped drinking it and haven't had that problem since!

The same thing happens to me when I drank it as a kid. My mom said that she gave it to me when I was a toddler and diluted it with 50% water and I projectile vomited it all over my bedroom. Too strong for my tummy!!
