I was about to make somesweet tart orange cranberry bread and discovered i bought plain soy milk instead of vanilla. will it still turn out or should i add some vanilla extract or wait untill i get some vanilla soy milk. Thank you Shelly

I made a smoothie last week that had some strawberries, 1 banana, and 1/2 cup of soy milk.. I did add some vanilla extract, maybe a teaspoon if so... I didn't know to put in there other than that.

For almost all recipes, plain and vanilla soy milk are totally interchangeable. The only exception is non-sweet recipes (like clam chowder or alfredo sauce) where you don't want to taste vanilla (yuck).
And you could certainly add vanilla extract if you're using plain soy milk. I sometimes add vanilla even when I'm using vanilla soy milk!
