I wrote my opinion of Teeccino on 5/13 but I don't think anyone has seen it. Instead of doing a new post, I replied to one of the other posts about it - I should have done it differently Here's the link to that post Teeccino Results

Plus, this morning I tried a new flavor, Vanilla Nut, and I liked that too! Again, I'm still mixing it with small amounts of real coffee so I don't have caffeine withdrawal, but I think it's pretty good so far. I wouldn't say it tastes like the best cup of coffee I've ever had, but it is an acceptable substitute so far. I'll let everyone know if I still feel this way when I make a pot of just teeccino. I think I'm going to try that this weekend when it doesn't matter if I'm groggy in the morning

Thanks so much for sharing your opinion, Miss Pepper! I decided to order the sampler pack too. I like my Rocamojo, but I always enjoy trying new things. I'll let you know what I think!

Bev was such a sweetie she sent me the packets from her sampler, since she didn't like the stuff at all. I was really surprised - I think the stuff is great! My husband likes it too, and he's much more the coffee drinker. The funny thing is, he thinks it pretty much tastes like coffee (he tried the original flavor). I have never liked coffee and never drank it, and I don't think the Teecino tastes like coffee - to me it's much better. So far I like the Vanilla Nut flavor, but I haven't tried Hazelnut and that one sounds really good.

I have a feeling that Teecino might be similar to soy milk vs. dairy, in that you have to take it on its own merits. If you're a hard-core coffee lover, maybe it wouldn't hit the spot. But if you just like coffee-type flavors, and are looking for something here that will be a tasty drink in its own right and not make you sick, I'd say definitely try the Teecino and see what you think.

Today I'm adding in soy milk and sugar and seeing how that tastes with it. If I'm not too lazy I'll froth the soy milk and make a little Teecino latte!

I'm glad I sent it to you, Heather. Hubby wanted to throw it out. I agreed. But then I just thought it was such a waste, especially if someone else might want to try it.

We tried two flavors (Java and Mocha), and we both agreed. YUK! But maybe you're right about NOT thinking of it as a coffee substitute. Don and I have been addicted to good, strong coffee for over 42 years now, and just the good stuff, nice and black and strong, with no sugar or cream or anything to change the flavor. There's just no comparison, no way nohow.

Taken on its own merit, Teeccino is ..... well, still yucky. Sorry. We just didn't like the taste. A tasty drink in its own right? Nope. Not even close. I'll take a nice hot cup of green decaf instead, thankyouverymuch.....

I have been drinking Soyfee soy coffee for over 3 years now and love the taste. My favorite flavor is french vanilla. It's made from organic soybeans and its been a complete godsend ever since I gave up coffee. You can find them at www.soycoffee.com Also I found a website that helps people kick the caffeine habit easy. They have a lot of information including a case study on the dangers of caffeine, a quick movie and a caffeine quiz. It's located at www.CaffeineAwareness.org

Dafney, does it taste like coffee? French Vanilla is your fave, eh? What other flavors do you like?

Are there any "side effects"? No cramping? Gas? D? It's totally IBS-safe?

Damn, I'm EXCITED! Okay, well, I was excited about Teeccino too, then got terribly disappointed -- but I'm willing to try anything; I miss coffee something awful....

Thanks!

Bev

Thank you so much, I just ordered Vanill Soy Coffee and can't wait to try it. Did you have coffee withdrawal headaches giving up coffee.

I can't find a list of ingredients on the website. Do you have the package in front of you, and can you tell us the ingredients?
I am very interested in this.
Thanks!

Hi LadyBug,

Yes, I had the inevitable headaches, but what I DIDN'T have were the 24/7 cramps. I chose the headaches over the cramps. They went away, though, because I tapered off on the caffeine. I had one cup of caffeinated tea every morning, and then during the day I had a cup of cocoa. I have since given up the cocoa but occasionally I have my Chai Spice Black Tea.

I also ordered the SoyFree; she said it would ship out to me this morning, so I hope to get it by the end of the week. I'm trying not to get my hopes up because I was so disappointed with the Teeccino, but the website sure sounds promising, and I love the idea of drinking a lot of soy, which is so healthy for me.

When you get yours, let us know how you like it.

Bev
