My mom brought an add about this product to my attention and I found a great deal online for it. It's 100% soluble fiber, grit-free and all that good stuff. I just got it today and the ingredients list is simply maltodextrin, a soluble fiber derived from corn starch. Has anyone taken this? And, what were the effects?

Hi, Michigander!! My home state, too.

I'm sorry I can't answer your question, but maybe someone else can.

Anyone??

You're welcome. But you still didn't get an answer from anyone? Did you do a search also?

This will bump it up again for people to see. Maybe you'll get an answer this time.

JENX or BEVRS or MAGS (where is she?) or JULIE or ETC?

Ooops - sorry! Must have somehow missed this post.

To be honest, this is the first time that I've heard about this fiber supplement. I found the web page for it and checked out the ingredient: maltodextrin.

Unfortunately, I've never heard of this ingredient either. I found the definition on a web page as "easily digestible carbohydrates made from natural corn starch. The starch is cooked, and then acid and/or enzymes are used to break the starch into smaller polymers (a process similar to that used by the body to digest carbohydrate)".

Sorry, but I think Heather's going to have to tackle this one. I don't anything about it!

Actually, Heather - I tried that first and couldn't find anything. I put in keyword "Instafiber" on all forums with no time restrictions and only came up with this thread. Is there a different keyword to use?
