I have just heard about this product. How long has it been on the market and the testing involved to get it on the market? What are the side effects for long term use? If any?

Please enlighten me. I need help in deciding which fiber to start. It does sound good though...no choking risk, no taste, etc.

Thanks a bunch

Hi - Acacia has been used for centuries, and it's long been recognized by the FDA as a safe ingredient for foods and beverages. If you check the ingredients of a lot of foods and such you're already eating, it's in there (Altoids, for example). It's also called gum arabic. Like all soluble fibers, there are only health benefits to its use, and no risks, so you can safely take it every day forever, just as you could safely eat rice every day forever.

There's detailed info about Acacia here Acacia

Thanks Heather that is exactly what I was looking for. Is it available in Canada or can I just order it from you?

so you'd have to order from me. We're working on getting it into stores right now, but I don't have a timeline for that yet. Hopefully soon!
