I read something about biofeedback a few months ago and found a therapist that does it. She said that it can help IBS symptoms. Something about getting hooked up to a machine that will monitor something in my body. Somthing like that. But, I never went in for the treatment but have started to think maybe I should try it out.
What does everyone think of this? Has anyone heard of this or tried it?

I was told that biofeedback is when you're "in tune" with certain parts of your body. I'm sure a lot of IBSers already use biofeedback without knowing it. I know that I can almost feel the food going through my digestive tract now, whereas before IBS, it would go in and I wouldn't notice it again till it came out.
Not sure where the machine comes in? Maybe it helps you listen to your body more?

biofeedback has some good success rates in clinical studies with IBS. I think hypnotherapy has better studies (and better improvement rates) behind it, so you might want to check that out too.
