Everything I've read has said that for chronic constipation, you should eat 35 grams of fiber per day. Does anyone know what percentage of this should be soluble and insoluble?

Hi - the minimum fiber intake for everyone, whether they have constipation or not, is 25 - 35 grams per day. Anywhere from 1/3 to 1/2 that amount should be soluble. And you can go higher than 35 grams - many countries have a daily fiber intake of up to 60 grams, and they're much healthier as a result.
