Does anyone know whether pau d'arco tea could cause ibs or reflux problems? My naturopath wants me to take it as a mild treatment for yeast-overgrowth, and I just want to avoid anything that could cause more problems.
Thanks, Linda

Hi Linda, I drink it almost daily as my morning tea. (With a little bit of a high soluble fiber food in my tummy first.) I have absolutely NO problems with it creating cramps/gas/bloating.
It's great for infections of all types. I don't know how much your doc wants you to consume but a cup or 2 a day shouldn't hurt. I find the taste very pleasant, BUT use the bags, not the loose leaf......it's terrible. If you don't like the tea, it comes in capsule form as well.
