I just received Heather's fennel tea in the mail today, but when I brewed my first cup, I brewed it with 2 Tablespoons of fennel seeds in the tea ball, and it was TOO BITTER and strong! What do I do? Do you sweeten it? Or just use one Tablespoon??
Thanks! Jen.

I use only one tablespoon -- mixed with one tablespoon of her incredible PEPPERMINT! It's the freshest, most flavorful peppermint I've ever had, and drowns out the bitterness of the fennel. If you didn't order the peppermint from her, you might consider doing so -- and just hold onto the fennel until you get it. It's well worth it!

I guess if you are watching your sugar intake, my way isn't the best. But I find the Fennel very soothing with a teaspoon of sugar in it. I also find that using a mortar and pestle to slightly mash the outside shell of the fennel releases more oils, so I don't use so much tea.
My latest addiction is a mix of 1 tsp anise seed and 1 tsp catnip. It makes an incredibly soothing drink, and with a teaspoon of sugar in it, makes it yummy!

Do you feel that the large amount of fennel tea helps with bloating (if you have had that as a issue). I have been drinking 2 or 3 mugs a day and have not seen any results. Do you drink much more than that? thanks
I also put sugar in mine and have also mixed it with peppermint. Either way helps.
