Sandy, I'm wondering if the probiotics will help us with the regularity and the urgency problem. I had been taking one every night, but just began upping it to two. I really think that's helped me a lot.
I know what you mean about your morning runs, not wanting to leave the house until you're sure you're done. That's me too! But usually if I'm not done, I think my subconscious kicks in just as I'm about to walk out the door. I ALWAYS feel a rumbling down there -- it's become a standing joke with my hubby -- so he makes sure I'm ready beforehand, allowing me time for my "last minute poop." And, believe it or not, I usually can manage to not disappoint him.

What a nice post. Thank you. We never know how we affect people, sometimes we find out we've been misinterpreted or misunderstood, maybe even "mis-appreciated." Other times we're pleasantly surprised that someone got something out of what we've said. There's nothing better than having a positive affect.
You made my day, Dolpin.

Digestive Advantage IBS
I did a search online, and I think this is their official website. It looks safe to take to me, but I'm sure Heather (or even someone else) may have better input on this. Would it really work or not? I have no idea.
If you go to this page, way up in the upper right their is a FAQ's link for the product, so don't miss that either.

Would this help with the constipation too? I know you're a D, but what do you think..
Equalactin is a soluble fiber supplement, so it works for both C and D. It is the same ingredients as Fibercon.

Do you take Equalactin in addition to acacia on bad days? I recieved a sample as well and was not sure when to use it. I am C - but somedays will give anything a try. thanks so much!
Equalactin is just another form of soluble fiber supplement. You can mix and match all of them. If you normally take the powders, the tablets/caplets are very convenient if you are out somewhere (friends house, restaurant, etc) and you want a supplement before you eat.

probiotics can be helpful, no doubt. Check the IBS Research Library board for the studies on those. The fillers are probably in such small quantities they're not going to affect IBS one way or another unless you're super sensitive to one of them.
