I just got my hot/cold packs and my Acacia. What are you guys storing your Acacia in? And do you cut the hot/cold packs before you activate them? Is it easy to activate them? Any tips?

Thanks!
Steph

I store my acacia in an empty jar.

I cut the size I want before soaking them - they're easier to fit in the bowl that way. Here's an old post on how to get them to activate: web page

I store mine in a jar too as it is easier to get into it with a measuring spoon. I found the cold packs very easy to activate.

Hi - I keep my Acacia in a ziplock bag. The hot packs you might want to soak before cutting, just because it's nice to try using the whole sheet. I find it a really good size as is to wrap around my middle - if it was smaller, it wouldn't give such good coverage.

When you first soak it, make sure it's in a BIG bowl or even the kitchen sink. Soak overnight, and weight it down ith another big bowl filled with water. You want the whole thing submerged. In the morning it will look like a quilt - that's when it's fully inflated. As you microwave it repeatedly, you'll eventually notice the little quilt squares get less puffy (it'll take several months of regular use, at least). Then you can re-submerge for just 30 minutes or so and it will totally re-inflate.

Thanks Ladies! That helps. I'm excited to use my new stuff. I'm really excited to use the Acacia. I just realized the other day that it has a lot more grams of fiber than the citrucle pills per dose!

Thanks again!

I keep my acacia in one of those clear decanter jars with the wire closure and rubber gasket -- what the heck are those things called, anyway? -- well, you know what I mean.

I like the labels that Heather uses, so I cut them off the bags and taped them to the front of the glass jars. I have three decanters on my counter, all different sizes -- one that holds the acacia, one for Heather's peppermint, and one for Heather's fennel. They look real nice with the labels, and they're handy -- since I use them so often.

Ooooh, I just LOVE organization.

Anytime you are in Iowa you are more than welcome to organize my house-it badly needs it. My daughter is trying to reorganize her room which usually means piling her junk in other rooms! Sigh.
