Hello All,
My husband and I went to the closest nice mall on Tuesday morning to celebrate my coming through my recent surgery for hammer toes on my right foot.
I was SO pumped, and very much looked forward to a day of shopping plus a very nice lunch!
Well, it SURE did NOT turn out that way at ALL!! Just before noon I had to RUSH to the bathroom in the Target store and spent almost 40 damned minutes on the pot!! My husband called me twice on my cell and I told him I would SKIP lunch and just to take me HOME!!
I PRAYED I would NOT suffer and accident in the car and stuffed my Depends with LOTS of paper towels just in case!
The rest of that day was JUST as bad as I had 19 fricking trips to the bathroom, PLUS a loose BM at 2:15 AM on Wednesday morning.
I put myself on a diarrhea diet all day yesterday and am eating OK so far today. I just had a McDonald's Artisan Grilled Chicken sandwich, plain, with some Hellmann's light mayo and water and am now having mild abdominal cramps!
I can't BELIEVE I spent $81 and 100 DAYS on those IBS Hypnosis CDs! I don't think they did me one WHIT of good!!
I am feeling EXTREMELY frustrated and angry and this has REALLY impacted my work and everything else in my life!!
Thanks so much for listening and CARING!

Providing my reply here as well.
Well I could say, sorry that the program is not for you, but as I have posted many times, I was JUST like you with serious IBS symptoms for hours almost every day. Raised my kids thru the bathroom door. It "could" be that you are in that lower percent of people for whom the program doesn't help. But as I have mentioned before, it could be that you need to give it more time and do the program over a time or two as I did.
Back in May when you posted your beginning you were hopeful but not convinced this would help. I was the same way and perhaps this delayed progress for me, and maybe this is the same of you. And 4 months is a shorter time than you have had IBS and while many see improvement early on, others take more time and it is hard to be patient.
Also, have you had times where you were feeling better? We tend as humans to report perceived failure more often.
I know spending money and not being improved is difficult... I spent lots on meds, surgeries, diets, supplements, and like most people, the sessions ended up being the most cost effective over all once I kept at it and then saw improvement. There is still hope even tho this was a bad episode, but don't give up just yet. If after doing the program another time or two, then decide. It is hard sometimes to know what is IBS and what may be caused by other conditions.
Instead of posting, and therefore reinforcing negative thought patterns, consider contacting me directly ( healthyaudio - at - live.com ) or posting days where you are feeling well. Maybe the sessions haven't helped you, maybe they still have potential to help you, or maybe they have helped you, but we tend to focus on the attacks rather than days we feel a bit better.
Hang in there hon.... There is always hope. All the best to you.

I would never ever eat anything from Mc Donalds or any other shop like that if you are not stable. Eat something light that you can handle,(homemade chicken soup) and not too much fat like mayonaise (in all the light things there are by the way so much bad things in it.. ) within the 3 days after a bad day like that.
Hope you are doing better now.
Best regards, Saskia

I am doing a LOT better now. Thanks for replying Sassie!
I do have to say, though, that I now AM able to eat more foods with dairy in them! I am on day 40 of the second round of the IBS Hypnosis CDs and I really think they are helping me this time!
I was able to eat the sweet potato pie made by Patti LaBelle and mashed potatoes with milk in them over the Thanksgiving holidays!

That's great. I can't have any dairy but I did find my way into it. We have great meals and snacks which don't give problems.
