Is the following protein bar (Pro Bar Base) safe to eat?:
http://shop.theprobar.com/Peanut-Butter-Chocolate-BASE-sleeve-of-12-bars
What about Earth Balance original spread?:
http://earthbalancenatural.com/product/original-buttery-spread/
Thank you, Beth (just diagnosed yesterday)

Hi - not crazy about those bars. The fat content is too high, and it's got inulin in there as well. See if you can find a safer brand.
The Earth Balance is a great sub for butter, but beware that all fats - even heart healthy ones - are GI stimulants. Quantity is key. Go low fat, but not fat free, so use the Earth Balance but not in huge quantities, and always with a good soluble fiber foundation.
Best, H

But this protein bar is so tasty! Do you have any specific recommendations for protein bars?
Glad to hear the Earth Balance is good to go! I don't use it for much, but it's nice to have around when I need it.
Thank you for all of your help with this newbie!
Beth
